Person-centred counselling can help you develop toward your full potential. By getting to know you, and understanding your experience(s), from your perspective, your whole person will be valued. This will help you to feel accepted and better able to understand your own feelings.

Person-centred counselling recognises that our self-concept can become displaced if we are striving too hard to be accepted by those around us; or trying to fit into a particular 'type' of person. Over time, your unique and personal identity can become lost amongst the ideals of others. A person’s true potential and ability can become blocked or distorted, leaving an individual experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties, and feeling repressed or depressed.

Self-actualisation is cultivated through a supportive therapeutic environment where you can explore and expand on your identity, regardless of who/what you think you ‘should’ be.

This open and genuine approach to counselling is vital in helping you reconnect with what’s important to you and your sense of self-worth. Sessions are exploratory, enabling personal awareness, self identity, personal growth, and being able to navigate relationships, using your own strengths – a journey which can be incredibly empowering.

A comfortable, non-judgemental space is provided so you can feel at ease, free to be your authentic self, learn about yourself and what might be impacting you in your life.

Really getting to know you, on your terms, and from your perspective can help you with understanding and awareness of feelings, thoughts and emotions, triggers, feelings of defensiveness, lack of trust, low self esteem, lack of self-reliance, self expression, sense of authentic self, grief/loss and guilt, healthy relationships, anxiety, fear, stress, insecurity or openness to experiences. Working with your creativity to explore change, solutions and resilience within yourself.
